Mixed-Use Storefront Buildings
Buildings with a store on the ground floor and apartments above, along Jamaica Avenue, Liberty Avenue, Fulton Street and every commercial strip in the city.
Mixed-use buildings combine two sets of needs: a storefront that needs a safe, inviting sidewalk during business hours, and residents above who need their own entrance kept open. They also tend to sit on busy commercial corridors where DOT inspections are frequent.
We replace frontages and curbs, repair entrance steps for both the store and the residential door, clear DOT violations and repair the brick, lintels and parapets above. Work is phased to keep both entrances usable.
Owners with several mixed-use buildings can organize the work across addresses.
