Yes — placing a container on a public street requires a DOT permit. If the dumpster fits on your driveway or private property, no permit is needed. JBS handles the DOT street placement permit for you when curbside placement is required.
No hazardous waste: paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, propane tanks, refrigerants (fridges and ACs with freon), asbestos, or medical waste. Electronics have separate disposal rules. Ask when you book — we will tell you exactly how to handle edge cases.
Standard rentals run one week, and most customers finish sooner — call and we pick up early. Need it longer? Extensions are a flat daily rate agreed up front. Contractors on ongoing jobs can schedule swap-outs so an empty container replaces the full one.
Heavy debris — concrete, brick, dirt, asphalt — should go in a 10-yard container filled level, because weight limits are reached long before volume. Putting heavy debris in a 30 or 40 yard almost always triggers overweight fees. We will size it correctly when you describe the job.
