Concrete Driveways

New concrete driveways and full replacements — proper subgrade, reinforcement and control joints, so the slab carries your cars for decades instead of cracking in two winters.

A driveway fails from the bottom up. The visible concrete matters, but the subgrade under it decides whether the slab settles, cracks or heaves. We excavate, compact and prepare the base properly before any concrete arrives.

JBS pours new driveways and replaces cracked, settled or spalling ones across Queens, Brooklyn and nearby. We size the slab thickness and reinforcement to what will actually park on it — cars, work vans, or heavier.

If your driveway meets the sidewalk, we handle the apron and any curb cut permitting as part of the same job.

What's included

  • Demolition and haul-away of the old driveway
  • Excavation, subgrade compaction and gravel base
  • Reinforcement appropriate to the load
  • Control joints placed so shrinkage cracks follow the lines, not the slab
  • Apron and curb cut coordination where the driveway meets the street
  • Broom, smooth or decorative finish — your choice

Frequently asked questions

How long until I can park on a new driveway?

Typically about 7 days before vehicle traffic, depending on mix and weather. We give you the exact timeline with the estimate.

Can you just resurface my cracked driveway?

Surface overlays on a failed slab usually fail with it. If the base has moved, replacement is the honest recommendation — we'll tell you which case you have at the free site visit.

Do I need a permit for a driveway?

The driveway on your property generally doesn't need a DOT permit, but the apron and curb cut at the street do. We handle that paperwork.
